Trail horse rentals with adventure at it's finest! Ride your horse or ours in Chuck Swan Wildlife Management Area surrounded by Norris Lake with historic cemeteries dating back to civil war era. TVA Gauging stations, old homestead foundations, caves, pristine woodlands, streams and coves. One of the most underused forests in East Tennessee.  24,444 acres of gorgeous riding. Trails that loop with some of the prettiest vistas in the area. Riders apt to come across deer, turkey, otter, beaver, owl . . . . . not your ordinary nose-to-tail rides! We offer "freestyle" recreational riding. Affordable custom ride packages geared to the riding level and desires of your group.  2hr rides to all-day rides. Ask about "Tyke Trails" and "Tender Fender" rides. 

CC Acres offers:  Wrangler assisted trail horse rentals.  Many packages available. See our website for package details. Horse Campgrounds day use or overnight. Campsites primitive w/ water available for you and your horses.

Trail Rules and Restrictions

Area hunted by lottery draw only. Chuck Swan closed to other re-creators during major hunts. Check WMA website for hunt dates and WMA rules/regulations.

Parking and Horse Unloading Facilities

Users camping at CC Acres can set up rigs for primitive camping and day use. We have corral panels, grass paddocks, and limited stalls available for rent. Call for details. WMA does not allow horse camping on grounds. CC Acres is adjacent and user friendly for pets and horses!

How to Get There

From Knoxville north on Maynardville Hwy 33 to cross 33 Bridge over Norris Lake.  Continue north approx 1 mi to (L) on Sharps Chapel Rd.   Continue on Sharps Chapel Road about 9 miles to (L) on Ray Road,  go 1/4 mile to (R) on White Road.  White Rd. dead ends into CC Acres.  Note: be sure to veer right with Sharps Chapel road about 6th mile as there is a Y at Sharps Chapel Rd and Big Valley Rd.

Cumberland Gap National park 19 miles north.  Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge 45 minutes east on I-40. Big Ridge State Park at our back door too.

This is a beautiful place to camp and ride. If you like secluded you'll love Chuck Swan and Sharps Chapel. What a jewel Norris Lake is and what welcoming people at CC Acres!
