Cullman Oktoberfest

A tribute to its German beginnings, Cullman Oktoberfest is five day event offering something for the entire family including activities for children, live German music daily, eating contests, a biergarten, charity bed race and more.

Throughout the week, local restaurants serve German meals daily.  For children, a variety of activities are offered and there are free guided candlelight walking tours.  Local merchants host nightly events featuring beer, brats, and live music.  Located adjacent to the Festhalle, the biergarten, featuring Oktoberfest beer, Alabama’s craft beers and Alabama breweries, is opened nightly except for Sunday.  A variety of competitive events, including a pickle eating contest, paper airplane contest and stein hoist contest, are held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.
