Delano Park

Considered the wild, emerald jewel in the heart of Decatur’s historic downtown, Delano Park features a gorgeous WPA Rose Garden, Riverwild Garden of native plants and contemporary sculptures, over four hundred legacy trees, a children's area with a universally accepted playground and splash pad, gazebo, walking trail, and tennis courts.  The beautiful green space area covers 28 acres.  Established in 1887, Delano Park is the oldest existing city park designed and laid out by renowned New York landscape architect Nathan Franklin Barrett and listed on National Register of Historic Places.
