29th Smoky Mountain Fiddlers Convention

Toe tapping music is heard this time of year. Every year since the first Smoky Mountain Fiddlers Convention during the 1982 World's Fair, bluegrass musicians have been coming to Loudon, Tennessee to play, listen, and compete in this annual event. Each year it grows and has become the premier bluegrass competition of the area. This year the three name bands performing Friday evening include: Lonesome Meadow; Tom Brantley & Missionary Ridge; and Greenbriar.  Competition begins on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Over $5,000.00 in musician prize money.

Admission Fee: $15.00 Friday & Saturday; $10.00 Saturday only; Children under 12—free

Ages Event is Appropriate For: All ages

How to Get There

Take Exit 72 on Interstate 75 and follow the directions to Historic Downtown Loudon. Look for the Big Tent on Legion Field, rain or shine. Bring your lawn chairs.
