Alabama Farming and Poultry Expo and Spring Outdoor Show

With its roots tracing back to the cotton industry and poultry and livestock production, the City of Boaz offers a two-day, family-friendly event celebrating its agricultural heritage taking visitors on a journey down memory lane.  The Alabama Farming and Poultry Expo and Spring Outdoor Show takes place in April at the Boaz Outlet Center and is for anyone interested in learning more about Boaz’s agricultural heritage, farming life, and poultry-raising while enjoying the fun atmosphere of a festival.

The Alabama Farming and Poultry Expo and Spring Outdoor Show features farm and poultry equipment, folklife demonstrations and exhibits along with what is new and innovative in today’s farming and poultry industry.  The Marshall County Extension Service also conducts educational farm sessions and demonstrations both days of the festival.

Festivalgoers are also entertained with a barbeque chicken cook-off, a children’s play area and on Saturday only, come see who can eat the most chicken fingers in the KFC Chicken Finger Eating Contest.  The showdown is set for 2 p.m.  There is plenty of shopping available among the many arts and crafts vendors and no one will leave hungry after a visit to the food court area offering something for any taste bud.

All activities are held at the Boaz Outlet Center on Highway 168.
