Big Creek Fall ATV Festival

The Big Creek Fall ATV Festival is an event that began 3 years ago, in October of 2014. Named after Big Creek that runs through the middle of downtown LaFollette, this festival allows for a fun day of ATV (all-terrain vehicle) riding, music, food, arts, crafts, and an amazing firework show. The month of October is the perfect time to enjoy the changing of the seasons by taking an organized ride on the TWRA (Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency) Trails through the Appalachian Mountains. There you can see the changing color of the leaves, the natural waterfalls, the grazing Elk, and the beautiful skyline view of the Appalachian Mountains.

The City of LaFollette offers 3 different organized rides to choose from: the Easy ride, the Medium ride, and the Challenging ride. The Challenging ride lasting from 4-5 hours. All rides cover an amazing amount of mountain terrain. If you want to hit the trails on your own, be sure to grab a map and take a ride up to our neighbors at Ride Royal Blue! They have lodging and a nice little restaurant called " A Taste Above" and more trails for you explore!

When your done exploring the Appalachians and are feeling a little hungry, you can ride your ATV in to town and eat at one of our downtown restaurants or at one of our many great food vendors. The enticing smell of bbq, hot dogs, popcorn and funnel cakes will guide you back through down town to the festival. The City of LaFollette had over 60+ vendors that joined us for the festival last year. These vendors bring all kinds of arts and crafts, a variety of different foods, activities for the kids, and much more! Be sure to register to win some of our FREE amazing door prizes!!! I!

At the end of the day, the City of LaFollette, along with festival sponsors will present an outstanding music concert that everyone will enjoy, and when the sun starts to set, the City of LaFollette and Pyro Shows puts on a fantastic fireworks show that showers the night sky with a colorful display of sparkling glitter.

So please, come explore our mountains, our trails, our lakes and our little town we call home!

Comments

During this event are there places to camp in the city with water, sewer and electricity and you can still ride from your campsite??

Eric Chrestman, Houlka, MS, thanks, 6/9/2017

The City of LaFollette is in the process of putting in a small RV campground. If you make reservations early enough you can camp at Ride Royal Blue campground. They have trails you can ride your ATV on to the City of LaFollette’s Big Creek Fall ATV Festival. It would take an hour of trail riding from Ride Royal Blue to City of LaFollette. You can check them out at www.rideroyalblue.com and call 423-784-9445
