An Oak Ridge landmark that offers delicious pizza. It's all about the atmosphere at Big Ed's. Oak Ridge memorabilia lines the walls. Plastic forks and small paper plates are all that you get. Napkins are on the table, and you'll need plenty to enjoy your meal! It's pizza, beer and cokes only at this pizzeria, but really, what else do you need? Your pizza is cut with scissors, served hot, and eaten until it's all gone.
Big Ed's was originally owned by Ed Neusel and was a hot spot for football-game Fridays, family celebrations and hang outs, and a great place for high school kids to earn a little extra money. Ed passed away and his son David took over and little to none has changed. Big Ed's is a must for friends and family in visiting the locals, as well as a big draw for our international visitors and tourists. Many a Big Ed's t-shirt has been spotted in airports across the globe.
This is a landmark for sure, from the large caricature of Ed on the front window, to the lifesize portrait of the former owner inside. Big Ed's dark, eclectic atmosphere keeps you busy as you wait for your delicious pizza to be delivered straight to your table.
