East Region

The region is a characterized by the alternating longitudinal ridges and valleys providing visitors beautiful vistas, world class white water, hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing adventures. It is home to the most visited US National Park, Great Smoky Mountains and Mount Mitchell, the highest peak of the Appalachian Mountains. Early settlers have influenced the culture, cuisine, and music of this region.
