Fairview Boat Ramp

Not too many tourists know about this boat ramp as it is pretty well hidden. Locals go there to fish. There isn't much there but the Tellico River and the ramp.

Access to Tellico River. If you are putting in in Tellico Plains, you can pull out here.  When you leave the parking lot, turn left and you are headed back to Tellico Plains, about 10 miles.

Head of the Tellico Lake. If you go upstream you end up in Tellico Plains. If you go downstream you end up in Tellico Lake on your way to the Little TN River in Vonore, TN.  Watch out for fallen trees!

Take Fairview Road out of Tellico Plains about 10 miles.  The ramp is located where Big Creek enters the Tellico River, which you should be able to locate on the Nat Geo Tellico-Ocoee #781 map.

How to Get There

Take Fairview Road out of Tellico Plains, off Bank St.  I'm hoping to get this mapped, too.

The trees are not the result of falling trees. They are there as a result of TVA not cutting them down at rivers edge in 1979. They are a major hazard if you are in a motorized vessel until around mile 9 on Tellico River. Between October-April they are very visible outlining the original river channel. April 15th or so-September, many are just under the surface at summer pool.
