First Presbyterian Church of Tuscumbia

This Georgian Gothic style church is Alabama’s oldest house of continuous worship.  The grounds still contain the original slave gallery.  One of the more famous Alabamians to worship here was Helen Keller.  This is the church where she was baptized.

First Presbyterian Church Is part of the North Alabama Hallelujah Trail of Sacred Places, a driving tour of 32 churches that are at least 100 years old, stand on their original sites, still hold services, and are accessible to the public.
