Hickory Star Resort and Marina

Fishing is a popular activity on Norris Lake.   From the moment you walk into the dock store you will see displays of trophy size fish caught by anglers in the waters near Hickory Star Marina. Fishing is year round and, depending on what time of the year you come, is what species are biting the best.

There are guide service available at the marina to book a fishing trip with. We  also allow fishing off the dock. During the summer,  parents and grandparents can teach their children the finer points of fishing from a grassy area to catch paddlefish.. At night, many local residents will keep their dock lights on for anglers to night fish around.

Norris Lake has 86 species of fish including walleye, stripers, crappie, large and small mouth bass.

Any season will provide an excellent fishing experience.
