Land Trust of North Alabama

Discover 62+ miles of Land Trust Trails scattered through the 1,107 acre nature preserve just two miles from downtown Huntsville, Alabama.  Free hikes offer natural beauty and exercise for the entire family.  Please note hikes are free, but donations to help preserve greenspace are accepted.  For hikes, long pants and comfortable shoes with good tread, bottled water, hiking sticks, trail snacks, hiking sticks, and camera are recommended.

The Landtrust also offers Tuesdays on the Trail environmental education series in June and July and special events are held throughout the year including concerts, an aquathlon (run/swim event), and a Halloween costume party in the South's most unique outdoor venue--Three Caves.  Located on the Land Trust's Monte Sano Nature Preserve, one of the largest urban nature preserves in the United States, Three Caves is a former limestone quarry.

The Land Trust of North Alabama is dedicated to connecting people with nature.  The Land Trust protects and stewards significant and vulnerable natural, scenic, and historic areas to help ensure that our cherished natural resources will be here for all to enjoy for years to come.
