F C F has been my Home away from home for 45 years...The Mountaineer Folk Festival is so awesome! I love the history continuing to be made on my mountain (lol)!!! I love the friendliness, the hard work that goes into everything that is prepared for this event, & all other events that take place there. Some day I would like to live there, n be a part of the Park...the Mountaineer Folk Festival is worth the trip away, n to get that ol' home feeling back...the music, the varities of food, great gifts, n to be Blessed for the opportunity to love this mountain n park..

One of my favorite things to do every year. Take time to sit and listen to the music at all the different stages all during the day. My family has gone every year for about 15 years. We love the crafters, the children’s corner with lots of activities, the marble pit, the music, the laid back atmosphere and the weather is normally fabulous!

Don’t attend on opening night Friday. Exhibitors and crafters are setting up, not ready to sell. If it's music you want there are some performing but it's not the festival atmosphere as Sat or Sun.
