Oak Ridge Welcome Center

The Oak Ridge Welcome Center is housed in the historic Midtown Community Center, better known as the Wildcat Den. The Manhattan Project Era building was known as the place to be for high school students as dances were often held there. Currently, the Midtown Community Center/Wildcat Den is home to the Oak Ridge Welcome Center, offices of the Oak Ridge Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Oak Ridge Heritage and Preservation Association. There are several exhibits on hand, showcasing artificats and photographs from the Manhattan Project including a replica dorm room. Over 200 brochures along with loads of local and regional information is available to plan your stay in Oak Ridge or the surrounding area. The Wildcat Den can be rented for group meetings and special occasions.
