Oakes Daylily Festival

Oakes Daylily Festival is a celebration of over 1000 varieties of daylilies and provides the visitor with a feast for both the eyes and ears.  Held annually in June, the flowers provide a tapestry of multi-hued colors.  Live music provided by talented local musicians and food vendors are also available.  Daylilies are available for sale as well as other many varieties of  perennials- peonies, hosta, clematis, and ornamental grasses.  This is a free event with free parking.  Each visitor is provided a daylily as a gift

How to Get There

Take the Knoxville Center exit off I-640 (formerly the East Towne Mall Exit), go north onto Washington Pike 10 miles. Turn left onto Corryton Rd., go 2 miles and turn right onto Monday Rd., 1/4 mile to the garden.

Another route from Knoxville is to take I-40 East to the Rutledge Pike exit (Exit 392). Go right (north) 8 miles and turn left onto Roberts Rd. (just past the C&K Equipment Co. which is on the right). The 2nd stop sign is Washington Pike. Turn right and go 3 miles. Turn left onto Corryton Rd., go 2 miles and turn right onto Monday Rd., 1/4 mile to the garden.


Last year the temperatures were triple digits. I’m glad the weather forecast is upper 80s for Friday. I'll be there!

My husband and I went to Oakes Daylily farm a couple of weeks ago and purchased 12 healthy, gorgeous daylily plants. They are thriving in our yard with beautiful blooms. The variety is overwhelming. Definitely recommend a visit.

We've been the last 2 years and enjoyed both trips from Cookeville Tn. . Ken gave me really good info on growing daylilies . We will be back this year too! Thanks to all.

Are there 2 different festivals 23-24. And 29 -30 The 2018 festival is June 22nd & 23rd, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
