Our Mission is to produce an annual signature music festival for the Ocoee Region of Tennessee for the purpose of raising overall awareness of the many unique features found within the region, encourage community participation, increase tourism revenues, and to support local artisans of diverse genres, with proceeds from the event distributed to local area youth organizations and youth related programs. The Ocoee River Jam was started in 2013 by a group of local musicians and artists as the only music festival in the Ocoee Region. In 2015, the Ocoee River Jam received recognition from the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit charitable organization. The Ocoee River Jam is now held annually as a weekend long event which begins each year on the last Friday in July.
Proceeds from Ocoee River Jam, Inc. have gone to support the following youth organizations and programs:
- The Boys and Girls Clubs in Polk and Bradley County
- The Polk County Chapter of American Red Cross – Youth Initiative
- Stanley Steamers – a Youth Kayaking Program run by Ace Kayaks
