SkyCapps

Away from the city lights you will experience a sky full of stars as you listen to the nighttime sounds of the country.  As friends and family gather around the fire, memories of the day bring laughter and the excitement for tomorrow’s plans are in the air.  Slipping between the cool cotton sheets, you will find plush comfort as you drift off to sleep. Enjoy early morning coffee on the deck, and chances are you will see deer, wild turkey, various birds, and of course, rabbits.

The Tennessee River is just 25 miles away and 4 marina’s, some with restaurants, are beautiful places to enjoy the water.  Add to that the Duck and Buffalo Rivers tout canoeing and fishing.

Johnsonville State Historic Park, on the Tennessee River, boasts an amazing visitors center, where you can learn about the Civil War battle in 1864 where the Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest overtook the Union Navy.  The Park has many events throughout the year including storytellers, sunset canoe trips and junior ranger camps to name a few.

The county and the surrounding area are home to many festivals.  More information can be found at www.visithumphreys.com, or as your host I will be glad to provide you with other entertainment opportunities.
