Locally or Family Owned Business Notes

The story of Sweet Jordan's begins with Jordan, the son of Tommie and Brad St. John.

Jordan, who was born with Down's Syndrome always loved to be in the kitchen with his dad. When Brad became ill and was confined to the house, he and Jordan did a lot of baking and shared their delicious bounty with friends and family. The most popular item came from a family, chocolate chip cookie recipe. Soon, their baked goods became so popular that Tommie and Brad wondered if this endeavor could be an opportunity for Jordan and others with special needs.

According to Tommie and Brad, they could "see God at work throughout the entire process." Along with their church family, volunteers, donors, special needs and other employees,  they created a beautiful oasis where family, friends and visitors can reap the benefits of their passion for delicious food and sweet, good works.

What’s not to love about homemade ice cream, cookies, bread and other assorted sweets? And don't forget about the sandwiches and soups. There's also a fun children's area with a giant tree and little shops. This is the perfect stop after a show at the Krider Performing Arts Center, a movie at Parisian Theatre or walking at Eiffel Tower Park. There's also a new coffee shop!
