Tennessee Aquarium

Situated on the Tennessee River in downtown Chattanooga, the Tennessee Aquarium is home to around 10,000 animals and an IMAX theater.  It is Chattanooga’s most visited attraction and is rated the #1 aquarium in the country for visitor satisfaction.

The museum offers two separate buildings, each feature many different types of aquatic and terrestrial wildlife. Not only do visitors explore habitats found in North America and the Gulf of Mexico, they also encounter a variety of exotic plants and animals from remote regions of our planet.

Along with daily animal programs with Aquarium experts, the Tennessee Aquarium offers a variety of special events each month.
