We attend this festival every year and we will be enjoying it again this weekend. Folks are friendly, the festival brings out the best of everyone and everything from food to music to demonstrations to crafts. Highly recommend both the spring and fall festivals.

Randall & Martha Hornsby, 9/26/2013

This will be our 8th year going to the festival. We found it by luck the first year and plan our annual trip around it. We were married in cades cove 3 years ago. Townsend is just a wonderful little town.

Rob and Sue Gesicki, 9/16/2015

We try to come every year to the Festival. My mom and dad were born in Townsend and that makes it even better because of all the memories.

Wanda Taylor, 8/23/2016

The Spring and Fall Festivals are wonderful and have become an annual event for the both of us. Looking forward to the upcoming event, and spreading the word.

Hall and Melanie Shoffner, 9/3/2016

Where is parking for this event? Cannot find on any site so far...

Belinda clark, 9/15/2016

Parking on site is $8 per day (Proceeds benefit the Townsend Volunteer Fire Department). Don’t forget to hop on the FREE shuttle that takes you around Townsend. Buses, donated from the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center, run from the Heritage Center to Jeepism to Trillium Cove to Little River Railroad Museum to Apple Valley Country Stores and Cafe to Cades Cove Cellars to Apple Valley to the Townsend Visitors Center and back to the Heritage Center. One bus runs from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and a second from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., both days. The last bus leaves the Townsend Visitor Center at 6 p.m. and returns to the Heritage Center, on both Friday and Saturday.

Is Charlie Monday still involved with old timers day? We went there for many years enjoyed every minute.

My family is from that area. My great grandpa worked at the mill in the Cove when he was young. I love to go and this will be the first year I get to take my son and tell him all the stories that was passed down to me about Towns and and our family.
