The Tourism and Information Center is housed with the Union County Chamber of Commerce Office at 1001 Main St in Maynardville in the Historic Maynardville Bank whichwas added to the National Registrar of Historic Places in November of 2001.
The Bank was built circa 1918 and served the predominantly agricultural community. The architectural style of the building is Classical Revival with Doric columns supporting the the portico. The Maynardville State Bank was chartered in 1922, with the stock market crash of 1929 occurred, it was forced to close in 1930. Other businesses were housed in the building over the years. In 2000, a group of citizens came together to preserve the building. With the assistance of several state and federal grants, the building was restored to serve the community for various meetings. In 2010, the Chamber Office was then moved to the building.
