Bed and Breakfast Style

Whitestone has 22 rooms available in 6 separate buildings.  Every room has a private bath with a whirlpool tub, a cozy fireplace, king bed, comfortable chairs, writing desk and enough quiet for an afternoon nap.  Eight rooms have an 85 gallon per minute waterfall spa shower with massage jets.  The rooms and suites are named for birds in the neighboring Wildlife and Waterfowl Refuge.

Room rates, including breakfast, range from $165 to $325.  Overnight guests are treated to a hearty country breakfast in the restaurant at the Farmhouse.  Dinner and lunch are available by reservation.  Dinner is a 5-course casually elegant affair featuring Southern regional cooking.  The menu changes every month to accommodate fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables.  Although the nightly offerings are not extensive, each night features a chicken, fish, beef and vegetarian entrée selections.

Guests can enjoy a full line of services in the newly expanded Day Spa featuring couples massages.  Outdoor activities include tennis, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, croquet, horseshoes, corn hole and shuffleboard.  A favored inactivity is to relax on a porch swing while taking in the view or enjoying a nap in a hammock.

Comments

My wife and I have stayed here on two occasions in the past and have seen continuing amenities added. The setting is fantastic matched only by the graciousness of the owners and attentiveness of the staff.
