With a focus on nature, Wildflower Café is treat for the senses. Fresh delicious food and its fun shabby chic atmosphere make it the go to place in the beautiful town of Mentone high atop Lookout Mountain. For brunch and lunch, enjoy fresh ground burgers, sandwiches, wraps, soups and salads and for dinner choose from savory filet mignon, wild caught salmon and smothered chicken. And leave room for one of the scrumptious homemade desserts. The restaurant was voted "Best Café in Alabama" by readers of Alabama magazine in 2015 and is featured in the book "The Southern Foodie: 100 Places to Eat in the South Before You Die."
Local musicians provide live music on the weekends during dinner. Reservations are highly recommended for dinner and late Sunday brunch. Reservations are not accepted for lunch.
Along with the restaurant, visit the Country Store for pottery, jewelry, clothing, local artwork, handmade cards, Good Stuff cacao, Zelma's Blue Ribbon Jams and Jellies, bath and body products, candles, books, and a variety of other gift items and mementos to take back home. The hours for the Country Store are Monday through Wednesday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
